Post You got a favorite?

I think I will follow in William of Orange's footsteps (favorite ice cream thread) and sidestep the GW ideas floating around in here.

Just wondering what everyone likes in movies! List favorites from cartoons/anime, computer animated, action, comedy, documentary (for all you boring type), to the incomprehensibly, far-fetched and unheard of ones!

I'll have to be insanely pathetic and generic here (please forgive me)... I have always had a sci-fi/fantasy fetish when it comes to movies. I'm sure a lot of people might, or might not, agree with me but one of my favorite movies of all time (I'm sure it'll change someday) is... *drum roll*

The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Stepping away from the terribly obvious (for me at least) I want to mention one of my favorite cartoon movies. This one, I fear, will never change! My wife heard me harp about it so much that she got it for me for this past Christmas just to shut me up. I love it cuz it has tons of personality and is the only movie that makes me laugh every time I see it. *Anticipation is getting heated* It is the well known, silly movie featuring my favorite character, Kronk...

The Emperor's New Groove.

Any possibility of making a warrior (a favorite profession of mine) take on Kronk's personality?

Looks like my trend-setting is starting to kick in

Hmmmmmm, favorite movies...

That's a tough one, since I like a lot of movies. For comedy, I guess I would have to throw in The Girl Next Door. Second place would be Good Morning Vietnam with Robin Williams. An oldie, but definitely worth watching.

Sci-fi? I'd have to go with the Star Wars movies, in particular Episode 6: The Return of the Jedi. The Battle of Endor still rocks my socks

I like a lot of movies besides those though, and many I like equally, so it's a tough choice even for the three I listed.

Hahahahhahahahaha. You're exactly like my sister. My mom finally broke down and got it for her for Christmas. It always seems the ENG fanatics fall for the irrestible Kronk AKA The Tick if any of you were blessed enough to see that series on tv...

That one movie that brought back Travolta, made Samuel L. Jackson cool forever, and made QT a house hold name.

Pulp Fiction

I must say I am enjoying Sin City tremendously also - I will have to go see it a few more times before final judgement.

The Breakfast Club

The Nightmare Before Christmas

The Matrix

Sin City

I like these movies because despite their greatness in their exterior they have something deeper behind them, something that makes you have to think a bit. It's just a shame that The Nighmare Before Christmas has become so sold out even though the Disney company never liked it in the first place...but when it can get you money...

I like Alien and Aliens.

They are classic and so great.

For me that's kind of asking an alcoholic what his favourite drink is, my movie collection is huge (~130). I've watch each at least 4 times, but as far as favourites:
Army of Darkness
The Fifth Element
Willow
Rat Race
Spiderman 1&2
Lord of the Rings - Trilogy

But over all - Blade Runner - A revolutionary film (though I do prefer the Director's Cut)

By the way Tur713, I haven't seen Sin City but it does look real good I'm guessing you really liked it . I guess I may do than on Sunday given you stellar recommendation.

It's really awsome. I loved the cinematography (that's how it's spelled right?) I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I am torn between three movies.

Lord of The Rings (trilogy or old old anime)....Dune.....and 2001/2010 Space Odessy

I think Dune has an ever so slight edge though.

im a big QT fan myself. Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs (sry if i spelled wrong) were amazing. Sin City also looks good, but my favorite one of em all has got to be Natural Born Killers. i highly suggest to anyone who hasent seen it, go out and rent it. its QT at his finest.

Also, all the Evil Dead movies because Bruce Campell has a chainsaw for an arm.....now cmon, how cool is that
